Kea or Tzia is one of the biggest islands of Cyclades with an area of 131 sq.Km. (sixth in order of size). The port lies just 16 miles from Lavrion. Arriving in this we see the big bay of Agios Nikolaos in the east of the home port of Kea, Korissia. Picturesque seaside village, the main tourist and commercial center of the island, with hotels, apartments, shops, banks and restaurants.
At a distance of 6 km, there Ioulida, the capital of the island with quaint cobbled streets and stegadia. There you will find the Town Hall, one of the finest classical buildings, the Archaeological Museum, shops, restaurants, bars and apartments. From Ioulida go for the big stone Leo, an unknown artist 600 BC A large number of sailing yachts and visiting during the summer months the island. Most anchor in the picturesque harbor of Vourkari located in the safe bay of Agios Nikolaos. In the small pier there are cafes, bars, taverns offering fresh fish and delicious astakomarkaronada. Vourkari attracts the interest of the dinner guests. In Gialiskari in Otzia on Pisses Koundouro and nobody will come easily and find accommodation and restaurants. There are also several other beaches where you can enjoy the holidays. Across Kea scattered over 300 chapels. One of the major festivals is on August 15 Notre Kastriani.
